
Cherry French Vanilla Cake – A Hint of Lime, Cream Cheese Icing & Whip Cream
A Perfect Celebration Cake – It is a beautiful show piece!
This is a perfect cake to Celebrate America’s Birthday – July 4, 1776! Happy Birthday America! The cake is beautiful and delicious! Refrigerate this cake so that it will be a cool dessert for a hot 4th of July.
Ingredients:
1 Duncan Hines French Vanilla Cake Mix
2 eggs
¼ cup canola oil
½ cup water
1 - 8 oz Noosa Key Lime Yogurt
1 Can Cherry Pie Filling (Take pie filling out of can and place in dish and refrigerate while cake is baking)
1 Can Reddi-Wip Cream
1 can Duncan Hines French Vanilla Icing
To Make:
Grease 9 x 13 Pan - I used a round pan for this one
In large mixing bowl:
Pour in contents of the Duncan Heinz French Vanilla Cake Mix
Add in 2 eggs
¼ cup canola oil
½ cup water
Whisk together thoroughly
Fold in the 1 - 8 oz Noosa Key Lime Yogurt and continue to whisk together thoroughly
Pour contents into greased baking pan
Bake @ 350 Degrees for 20-22 minutes – do toothpick test – should be golden brown – don’t overbake
Take out of oven and cool
Remove Foil top from Duncan Hines French Vanilla Icing and microwave for 30 seconds
Pour over cake and spread
Top with the 1 can of Cherry Pie Filling
Refrigerate for 1.5 hours
Take out and top with Redi-Whip Cream and cut and serve
