![]() Last night Greg and I went to a local coffee shop downtown Little Rock for the first time. Nexus Coffee Shop is in the heart of Downtown Little Rock located on President Clinton Avenue. First of all, I had no idea that Little Rock's Night Life would be so fun for his two older folks! I loved this place. We went there to see my son David, Adam, Julia, Austin & Alex P on his debut singing live. I took my new video camera and learned an important thing regarding taking a higher digital video camera to a coffee shop....don't! Unless you go way to the very back, stand leave it on a tripod with a remote, don't bother. I was sitting right in front of where they blended the drinks and the bar area. All the great song recordings were muffled by blender, coughs of people, etc. etc. My I-Phone that I grabbed at the end did much better for this type of place. I will use this new HD video recorder in a studio environment or a much larger room. Lesson learned! I am glad that I took the I-phone and got Alex P's last song so I could have it and pass it down to his mom. I also am soooo very glad that I had it out when a young lady asked could she go up on stage and do an "Open Mic." I decided to record it on the I-phone just to have. Becca was in town (as she announced) doing a self-produced Documentary on the life of Secretary Hilary Clinton. Becca (just 21) along with her friend, were traveling from Washington, New York and Little Rock to film this Documentary that she is naming "To All The Little Girls" about Hilary. She said she had met Hilary on several occasions and Hilary was so encouraging to her. She said herself, "Whether you agree with her Politics," Hilary has achieved so much in her lifetime as a Woman, a Wife, A Mother and her Friend. I am so glad that I took the time to go over and speak to Becca about her ambitions and desires to create this Documentary. Becca knew what she wanted to accomplished, is achieving her dreams, and making this happen! Oh to be young again and knowing what you wanted at that age and going for it! Becca's song was "This Is My Fight Song" she said it was her dedication to Hilary Clinton and all The Little Girls out there that had big dreams and ambitions! You can follow Becca on Twitter and her progress.
