the green corner store celebrates 9th birthday

It was such an honor today celebrating The Green Corner Store's 9th Birthday.  What better way to celebrate your birthday is to have The Little Mermaid herself attend your birthday bash.    Both adults and kids were enjoying getting the pictures taken with The Little Mermaid.  She came with her bag packed to paint the faces of the eager little ones.  Community Bakery was on hand and furnished beautiful blue and purple cupcakes.  The Green Corner store provided their wonderful tea, which included a mermaid blend.  Various door prizes were being given away, including a beautiful custom mermaid cake.   

Shelly, Owner of The Green Corner Store located in the SOMA District of Little Rock has good reasons to celebrate.   This awesome store has "green" products from soaps, candles, cleaning supplies, handcrafted artesian jewelry,  toys, crafts and so much more.   They pride themselves in carrying products that are healthier for people, our pets and better for the planet.  They have a wide range of products made in the beautiful Natural State of Arkansas.  Their belief is everyone can have a more sustainable way of life without sacrificing style, convenience or comforts.

I was so glad to visit with Shelly and look forward to many more conversations.  Shelly moved to Arkansas from Alabama where she had been in retail for many years.  She wanted to use products that were not only good for the environment, but natural and have a local influence.   There wasn't many places locally to find what she was looking for so she put her retail experience to use and opened The Green Corner Store in July 2009.  Nine years later this wonderful store is still going strong.

If you are a tea fanatic like me you will love the beautiful tea bar.  They have over 30 types of loose leaf tea that have been sourced worldwide and blended in the Savoy Tea Lab in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Choose from black, green, white and many others including organic herbal teas.
