Disney's lion king -the musical![]() The Lion King has to be my favorite Disney Movie of all time. I first saw The Lion King when Lauren was little, (now 27) I think I enjoyed it as much or more than she did. The computer graphics were amazing in the movie as well as in the computer game. Who doesn't love a good Disney Movie? Greg and I were sitting around yesterday and we normally go to the movies, (we do love the movies) decided we needed to special treat ourselves. I got on-line and found tickets on Stub Hub. BTW, they had the cheapest fees per ticket that were on sale. I checked the other tickets from other vendors and by just doing a little research saved us over $50 a ticket. This is the first time that we have been to The Robinson Center (officially known as The Joseph Taylor Robinson Memorial Auditorium) since it had been completed rebuilt in 2017. Honestly, you can't have a bad seat in this beautiful performance hall. The only tickets that were available for the 7:30 showing were in Section I, which was at the top. I didn't mind that at all... getting me that much closer to the bathroom at intermission. This performance as amazing! The puppetry was outstanding and from where we were sitting, looked real. This production did win six Tony Awards®, including Best Musical. I am so thankful for Celebrity Attractions bringing this Broadway Musical to life in our town. You don't want to be a second late to your seat. The Opening Act was "The Circle of Life" performance. These larger than life puppets come alive in this Act. It took real talent for those actors/actress' to walk on those stilts in costume. The Elephant was my favorite as it was coming up the stage to join the others. This Production brought current humor to the Musical. They mentioned "tweeting" and Target as "Tar-jay" among other dabs. The voices were amazing and brought real life to the characters. I don't know where our copy of the video is, so I think I will go on Ebay and find another one. This Musical is for all ages! We sat between a mother and her college daughter on one side, and parents with four kids under 12 on the other. It is well worth the ticket price and to special treat yourself or your family. We will most definitely be going back to this beautiful performance center again soon...maybe next time for a Concert! HAKUNA MATATA ( no worries for the rest of your days) --- Pat P.S. I found some links on You Tube for "The Circle of Life" Musical Version. Be sure and click on the link. It will make you want to find a ticket for sure!
