![]() "FOOD AS IT SHOULD BE" might be Panera Bread's slogan thus far. However, this guy pictured on the left is as friendly and yet "cool" as a General Manager should be. Meet Aaron Fluck My goodness I have known Aaron for years. We were visiting about this the other day. I first met Aaron over 16 years ago when he was a waiter at Cracker Barrel. I love to chat with whomever is waiting on my table. In fact, I think sometimes my family would hope that I would just sit, be quiet and eat my dinner. I thought that is what parent's said to kids? My daddy loved to chat, kid and pick on the waiters/waitresses. I guess he passed it down for me to take over now that he is gone. Aaron and I hit it off quick. This guy has a great personality and is full of life. Advanced the clock several years and he made an appearance for a bit at the Panera Bread Pleasant Ridge location. I would stop in faithfully every morning at Pleasant Ridge to get tea. Let's just say that some of the folks would forget to put the sugar in the tea or forget to stir it. Sometimes it would be what I call "a little weak in the knees" meaning ........too much sugar and water for the tea. I like my tea strong as avid coffee drinkers like their coffee. I have been known to stir the tea and and make sure it had color to it. Aaron and I would laugh and watch the others reactions. These were the days when Panera served sweet tea. One of the lady's would hurry over when I walked in to stir the tea and holler "Mrs. Pat I stirred your tea." We all would laugh about it. I often would go by and ring the bell and holler "order up" just to see the reaction from the others. I would even be known to take the orders from the counter to the customers, just a time or two. I have met some great people at Panera and I call them my friends. Advanced the clock another couple of years and this cool looking guy is the General Manager of Panera's Midtown location. I was so pleased to see that he made General Manager. When it comes to customer service, this guy is top of the pyramid. He's friendly, charming, funny and energetic. All great qualities for a perfect General Manager in the hospitality industry. Aaron is married with two young children and enjoys spending time with them. I would have pegged him to be a "classic rock-n-roll" guy but he tells me he enjoys "EP" music. I learn something new everyday. Although, he said he could take my classic rock-n-roll, I guess that's okay with me. My favorite sandwich at Panera is the breakfast egg & cheese croissant, egg over easy. I just wished they would serve it all day and night. Panera serves up an excellent chicken and wild rice soup as well. Whatever your favorite sandwich, soup or salad is, please don't forget to get the dessert for .99 cents. If you want some great food, great service, a little spunk, this is the perfect location for you. You will be treated right with these folks. Be sure and stop in and tell Mr. Fluck hello from me. xoxo - Pat
