You all know by now that I am a #cookieaddict! I am also a #chocolateaddict. The combination of chocolate and cookies put him into pure Heaven! I love a rich maple syrup. I have been using this bourbon maple syrup that is simply divine! It is great in granola, cakes, and it made these double chocolate cookies so rich and moist!
I couldn't wait to share the recipe with you all! They are moist and delicious! They taste like the best chocolate brownie!
Here's the scoop:
Ingredients:
1 1/5 cups white Lilly All Purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of organic cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
1 stick of Vermont Creamery Sea salt butter (soften in microwave for 25 seconds)
1/3 cup of sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar,
2 teaspoons of pure maple syrup (I use the Bourbon Maple Syrup)
2 tablespoons of @hersheys cocoa
1/2 teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt
1 large brown egg
Directions:
In mixer: beat soften butter, sugars and vanilla together. Add in egg and continue to mix. Add in flour 1/2 cup at a time. After first 1/2 cup add in baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamons, and continue to mix. Then add on cocoa, and maple syrup. Continue mixing and add in rest of flour. Mix until combined. I add in 1 cup of white chocolate chips often or pecans. Bake at preheated oven on 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes on lined cookie sheet. The outsides should be formed and the middle soft.
